CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
Adult Swim Conditioning: A one hour swim conditioning class focusing on improving form and efficiency in swimming. This class includes drills, enhancing arm stroke and leg performance.
Aqua Aerobics: A low impact group fitness aquatics class held in our year round heated swimming pool.
Cardio Kickboxing: A high intensity cardio workout which includes martial arts movements choreographed to music in a fitness class format.
Cardio SuperSculpt: A high intensity cardio and muscle workout using steps, weights, resistance bands and jump ropes.
Dancin' Easy: Dance to world music with choreography incorporating a variety of dance styles from hip-hop to zumba! Learn easy routines that will exercise both the body and the mind.
Fitball: A functional, fun, and challenging total body workout using a stability ball to target the core, hips, and thighs as well as building upper body strength and improving balance skills.
Group Cycling: A group fitness class on a stationary bike that encourages a self-paced approach to endurance training and challenges everyone regardless of fitness level. Each class will simulate a ride traveling flat roads, climbing hills, sprinting and racing! The benefits are amazing - weight loss, cardio conditioning, and improving leg strength!
Movin' Easy: A slower paced step/cardio fitness class for beginners and seniors, or those who just want to move a little easier.
Pilates Reformer ($): Our new Pilates Studio is equipped with state of the art Pilates Reformers on which our new Pilates classes are conducted. Pilates changes the way in which we use our bodies. It changes muscle recruitment patterns, correcting common muscle imbalances, restoring good alignment and natural normal movement. Some of the benefits of Pilates include greater strength and muscle tone, more efficient respiratory, lymphatic and circulatory systems, improved flexibility, increased joint mobility and lower stress level. Pilates Mat I/II: A method of body conditioning that focuses on strengthening and balancing the core by consciously controlling muscular movements of the abdominals, gluteals, and lower back. All exercises are designed to increase balance, flexibility and strength through concentration, control, precision, breathing and flow of movement.
Salsa Step: Salsa Step is a fusion of Latin music with aerobic/fitness interval training that tone and sculpt the body. Rauly Dueñas is the creative director and founder of Fierce Dance Company.
Sculpt & Tone: A full body strength training class. Build lean muscle, tone your body, improve your bone density and feel and look great! All levels welcome.
SPINLATES
This is a new class that begins with 45 minutes of cycling followed by 45 minutes of Pilates II.
Spinnin’ Easy
A slower paced class for beginners who want to learn the basics of indoor cycling.
Walking Class: This is a walking class on Saturday mornings that tours through the Petaluma countryside. The class walks 3 miles in 50 minutes. All levels are welcome.
Total Body Workout: We are excited to offer a brand new cardio class taught by local Petaluma instructor, Stacey Renati! Kick start your day with a complete body workout. We hope to see you there!
Yoga: Yoga is built on three main structures: breath, exercise, and meditation. Breath is the source of life in the body and increasing breath control improves the health and function of both body and mind. Exercises of Yoga lengthen, strengthen, and tone the muscles as well as build bone mass. Breath and exercise together prepare the body and mind for meditation, bringing a quiet mind and silent healing from everyday stress. Regular daily practice of all three parts of this structure of Yoga produce a clear, bright mind and a strong, capable body.
KIDS Sing, Hop & Bop (Walking to 4 years). Sing songs, read books, enjoy family dance parties and play-gym activities.
KIDS Moving & Exploring: (For ages 3-6 years). Kids will learn physical skills through exploring movement and having fun!
KIDS Pre-Ballet ($): (For ages 3-6 years). Your child will learn basic ballet technique, explore musicality, and discover unique artistry through pantomime, story telling and creative movement. It's a rewarding, educational and fun introduction to dance! ($) This is a fee based class. Sign-Up is required at the front desk.
KIDS Tae Kwon Do ($): (For ages 5-13 years). "Tae Kwon" means hand and foot and physical action. "Do" means philosophy or the way, the path. Just as one practices "Tae Kwon" with hand and foot, one must practice "Do" with the mind, body and spirit. Increase your energy and gain self-confidence through a practice that improves focus as well as both mental and physical discipline. ($) This is a fee based class. See front desk for details.
KIDS Movin' & Groovin': (For ages 6-10 years). Kids get exercise and build skills through playing games.
KIDS Hip Hop ($): (For ages 10-14 years). HIP HOP incorporates the techniques of hip-hop and street dance to provide a dynamic class integrating both rhythm and movement. Participants will learn how to collaborate as a team through choreographed routines as well as practice their own creativity through movement instruction. Rauly Dueñas, creative director and founder of Fierce Dance Company, has worked with youth in dance for years. ($) This is a fee based class. Sign-Up is required at the front desk.
People of all levels and abilities are welcome to participate in all classes. Pay attention to your body and drink plenty of water. HAVE FUN!
